Leader or follower?

As the leader (on the big window): Fills any gap.

As a follower: Heals or deals damage; Mark of the Wild for everyone.

The leader is the character you play “for real”: it pulls and picks targets. Followers assist it and follow it. The WoWBoxer AddOn builds the right keys for a Druid in either role, for your level.

Best duo partners for a Druid

Our own ratings of every pair with a Druid, best first. S plays itself; D wants your attention on both windows at once. How we rate pairs.

  • Tier S: Druid + Hunter

The pet or the bear tanks, the druid heals: everything a two-person group needs.

The Druid leads. The druid needs more buttons and positioning, so it gets the big window; the hunter follows and works from the small one.

  • Tier S: Druid + Priest

The druid tanks in bear form and the priest heals; Rebirth and Resurrection mean a wipe is never the end.

The Druid leads. The druid needs more buttons and positioning, so it gets the big window; the priest follows and works from the small one.

  • Tier A: Druid + Shaman

Two hybrids: the druid tanks in bear form and the shaman heals, with a rez on both sides.

The Druid leads. Both are light on buttons; the druid leads because it holds the mobs, and the shaman follows and heals.

  • Tier A: Druid + Mage

The druid tanks or heals for the mage's big damage, and free water keeps the druid going.

The Mage leads. The mage needs more buttons and positioning, so it gets the big window; the druid follows and works from the small one.

  • Tier A: Druid + Druid

Two druids can be anything: a bear and a healer make a complete group on their own.

Either can lead. Same class: put the one you play best on the big window; the other follows with /follow and /assist.

  • Tier B: Druid + Warrior

The warrior tanks and the druid heals from range, with Thorns and Rebirth; the warrior keeps you busy.

  • Tier C: Druid + Rogue

Two stealthy characters that can sneak to chests and nodes; the druid can tank or heal, but not both at once.

The Rogue leads. The rogue always leads: it has to stand behind the target and open from stealth. The druid follows and assists.
